Cool Modern Art

I had an awesome visit at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth. I'm always inspired and excited to see the famous paintings of artists like Andy Warhol, Francis Bacon, Roy Lichtenstein, Mark Rothko and Jackson Pollock But then it's great when I discover other artists like Alain Jacquet. This was my first time to see his beautiful painting "Camouflage Botticelli (Birth Of Venus)". I absolutely loved his creativity with the subject and his brilliant execution of the painting. The colors were very striking and it is a very intriguing and innovative Pop Art statement painting on Pop Culture.

There is peace in simplicity. 

This huge work of three canvas pieces took up one entire side of the room.

An Artist's Visit To A Museum

I go to a museum at least once a month. It's my other "church". On this trip I visited both the Kimbell Art Museum and the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.
I love all art: ancient, modern, paintings, sculpture... But as a painter, paintings are my favorite. I get butterflies in my heart when I see some paintings....
I study the paintings. I watch the people. I listen to what they have to say. I dissect the paintings. I am always mesmerized. Handling paintings every day it's hard not to touch the paintings in a museum. It's difficult to simply view them as beautiful pictures and not analyze them for technique. But I am always left with a feeling of comradery with the other artists, always inspired and challenged. And every time I go I always feel that I am a little bit closer to becoming one of them.

The Awesome RAW Artists Exhibition

I had an amazing time at the RAW Artists show in Dallas at the Lizard Lounge on January 29th. I met some very talented artists and loved the awesome music and beautiful fashion show. Looking forward to showing my work again at the next RAW Artists show!
